The Idea was Simple
As I stared at the products under my bathroom sink—those beauty items I had bought, used once, and then forgotten about—I realized they had become part of the "product graveyard." There was nothing wrong with these products; we simply live in a world where beauty trends and new fads push us into impulse buys we don’t really need.
I thought to myself, if I alone have 15+ products gathering dust under my sink, surely others do too. The problem is, no one wants to throw these items away, but we’re unsure what to do with them.
And that's when it hit me—why not collect these products and host a donation drive to give back to my community?
The Outcome - Pamper With Purpose
To date, we’ve collected an estimated 100+ products, which have been donated to three organizations: The Orlando Coalition for the Homeless, The Alpha House of St. Pete, and the St. Pete Free Clinic.

Host a Drive Yourself!
The best part about this drive?
1. It costs little to nothing to set up.
2. It costs nothing for people who donate.
3. And most importantly, you're helping those in your community.
Six Easy Steps
1. Find an organization you'd like to donate to.
2. Find an organization, store, apartment, or school front office that is comfortable hosting the donation drop-off site.
3. Make flyers of what items you're collecting to hang at the location and post them on social media and neighborhood apps.
4. Monitor the box, and check in as needed to remove items.
5. When you wrap up the drive, take some time to disinfect the exterior of the products and clean up any product residue.
6. Drop off the products. Wait a few months, and host another one!

1. How long should my drive last?

Most drives last between 1 to 4 weeks. It’s up to you and your chosen location.
2. Can I collect other items besides personal care products?

Yes! Feel free to ask the organization you're donating to if they need additional types of donations.
3. How do I get people involved?

Leverage your network to get involved! Post on social channels and online groups. Encourage the business or community group hosting your donation box to promote it to their community as well. Don’t be discouraged by a lack of social media engagement. Even if your posts don’t get a lot of likes or shares, people are still paying attention.
